Extracting Changes¶
Model management is all about management of model changes. From Model Administration Meta-Model, model changes can be extracted and presented in different ways for different purposes.
Model changes can be extracted in the following ways:
- Incremental Only (applicable for Change Set only): Only model changes of the selected Project are extracted and loaded into the workspace. The loaded incremental model can be further exported as CIM/XML file for model change collection or exchange.
- After Assembling: Model changes of the selected Project/Plan/Version are extracted and loaded into the workspace. Also loaded into the workspace are the full models before and after assembling. This allows various model change reports to be generated, allowing users to inspect model changes from different perspectives.
- Before Assembling (applicable for Change Set only): Model changes of the selected Project are extracted and loaded into the workspace. Also loaded into the workspace are the full models before assembling. This is mainly to support debugging of modeling conflicts.
- Since Version/Plan: Model changes from selected Project/Plan/Version to specified Version/Plan are extracted and loaded into the workspace.
- Since Changeset: Model changes from selected Project/Plan/Version to specified Changeset are extracted and loaded into the workspace.
- Between Times (applicable for time-based Plan only): Model changes between two selected Date/Times are extracted and loaded into the workspace.
