Model Depository¶
A Model Depository is a data repository storing all of the information for a managed model. More specifically, it contains the following information:
- Model Administration Meta-Model: An RDF-based model designed to manage model changes over time and guide model management;
- Base Full CIM Model : Full CIM model used to initialize the model depositor, typically EQ or EQ +SSH of a certain version of CIM;
- Projects: Incremental CIM models of Projects.
There are two types of Model Depositories:
- File Based: A directory (folder) is created for each Model Depository. All of the information is stored in files under the Model Depository directory.
- Database: A relational database is created for each Model Depository. All of the information is stored as tables in the Model Depository database.
